Picture Retake Day
For any students who did not
have their pictures taken during registration, the official school photographer
will be available in the high school cafeteria next Tuesday, August 25, from 7
o’clock in the morning until 4 o’clock in the afternoon. All students are
required to have their pictures taken by the official school photographer for
attendance purposes, as well as for student ID cards and inclusion in the
yearbook. No purchase is necessary; however, order forms will be available for
those students wishing to order pictures. All faculty, staff and administrators
should also see the photographer sometime Tuesday to have their pictures taken
for inclusion in the yearbook.
Purple &
Gold Scrimmage
The 2015 Purple and Gold Football Scrimmage
will be this evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to come out
and support the freshman, JV and varsity football teams as they will take on
each other in a scrimmage. There will be introductions of the football players,
cheerleaders, dance team, JFL players and JFL cheerleaders. At tonight’s
game there will be a fish fry. The Fish fry is from 4:00 to 6:30. Carry outs are available. Menu is $7 for fish, fries and
drink, $4 for hot dog, fries and drink.
Concessions will
again be by ticket only this year at Varsity games. The tickets are good at any concession the
boosters operate the rest of the year and do not have to be used that evening.
Scholastic Bowl
Looking for all grade levels
for Scholastic Bowl! If you are interested or have questions, please see
Mrs. Tanner in room 306. Fall schedules are available outside her
room. Bus times will be announced at a later date. We will
hold weekly practices TBD.
Counseling
Center
Juniors: THS will give the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday,
October 14 at 8:15 a.m. The cost to take this test is $15.00. Sign
up in Student Services NO LATER THAN Wednesday, August 26 at the end of the
school day. Payment is required to reserve you place. Checks should
be made out to THS. Limited numbers of spots available so don’t wait to
sign up.
Attention Seniors:
Walgreens is looking for a part-time pharmacy tech. Must be 18 years of
age. Applicants with an interest in the medical field and/or sciences
will be given special consideration. If interested, apply online at
walgreens.com or speak to the pharmacy department.
