In the Illinois Journalism Education Association's most recent yearbook competition, the 2019 THS Drift took first place in Best Copy Writing, Best Sports Coverage, Best Divider Pages, and Best Layout and Design. The Drift also placed second in Overall General Excellence and third in Best Coverage of the School Year.
