T-Shirts
The sports boosters are selling 2015 Football Playoff shirts
for $15 and hoodies for 25.00 each. The shirts will be purple and order
forms are in the main office. Orders need to be returned to the
main office by Friday, Oct 23. Shirt pickup will be Thursday, Oct 29 at 6
pm in the cafeteria!
The football program is also selling 2015 Apollo Conference
Championship t-shirts to celebrate our undefeated season. This year,
there are two designs, one for the offense and one for defense, and you can
choose which one you would like. Order forms are in the main office and
you can return them to the Main Office or to Coach Odam. All order forms
need to be turned in by Wednesday, Oct 28th and shirt pickup will be Friday,
November 6th. Go Tornadoes!
Class Meeting
We need all Sophomores & Juniors to meet in the
cafeteria this morning. We will be discussing information pertaining to
curriculum for next school year. We will call the Sophomores down to the
cafeteria @ 8:20 and the Juniors at 9:20.
Pictures
Homecoming pictures, as well as student pictures, have
arrived and may be picked up in Room 144 before or after school any day this
week.
Library
Students if you like to read EBook’s please stop by the
library and check out this new service we offer.
Student Council
Taylorville High School Student Council is hosting a blood
drive in the East Gym from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. today. If you
are 16 years old you must complete the parental consent form provided by CICBC.
Remember eat and drink before donating. You must present donor or
photo ID to donate.
Art Club
There will be an art club meeting this evening at 5:00 p.m.
in the art room.
Soccer
There will be a soccer meeting after school today for all
Varsity and JV players in Room 135. We will turn in uniforms and discuss
our banquet.
Girls Bowling
There will be a short, mandatory meeting in room 141 (Mr.
Caniff’s Room) today after school for any girl interested in joining the
Bowling team. If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Caniff before or after
school in room 141.
Boys Bowling
Tryouts for the Taylorville High School 2015-2016 Boys
Bowling team will be held on Monday October 26th from 4 pm till 6 pm at the
Olde Bowl. Any interested students wanting to join the team must have an
up-to-date physical turned into the school nurse and be registered online with
the 8to18 website in order to tryout.
Girls Basketball
There will be a Parent/Coaches meeting for all girls and
their parent/guardian who are interested in playing basketball this year on
Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015 from 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM in the West Gym.
Coat Drive
The annual Coat Challenge is now taking place and will
continue until October 25th. Bring us your old coats that are in good
shape or purchase a new coat to donate. All sizes and genders are needed.
We have a special need for children’s coats. Help us make the
annual coat drive a success. Coats may be dropped off in Mrs. Schafer’s
room, Mr. Elvidge’s room or the box located in the Main Foyer. Person or
group who brings in the most coats wins a $50 Angelo’s gift card.
Counseling Center
Attention Seniors: A list of college visit days for
the month of November is now available from classroom teachers, on the
counseling link of the high school web page, and on the Remind message service.
Please refer to page 118 in your agenda book when scheduling college
visits.
Attention Students: An updated scholarship bulletin is
now available in Student Services, from classroom teachers, online on the
counseling web page, or via your Remind account.
Attention Students: The following colleges will have
admission representatives here to meet with students on the following dates.
If interested in attending, please register in Student Services and get a
pass from a counselor.
