Guest Passes
Guest Passes for Prom are available in the Main Office.  Prom is for Taylorville High School Juniors and Seniors and their guest.  If you are bringing a guest that is not a student at THS the following rules apply:
1.   Guest cannot be a student at any junior high school.
2.   THS student is responsible for securing a guest pass form and having their guest complete all the required information.
3.   THS student is required to have guest pass form signed by Taylorville High School Administrator prior to the event and student must present form along with picture ID of guest to gain entrance to the dance.


Student Council
There will be a blood drive on Friday, April 27th.  Sign up sheet are in the Main Office. You must be at least 16 in order to donate.  16 year olds need to pick up a parental consent forms in the Main Office.


Attention THS female students:
Purdue University is hosting a free cyber-security residential day camp. Students will learn about cybersecurity careers as well as increasing diversity within the cybersecurity field. Some of the topics  covered include: digital forensics, the cybercriminal, robotics, and cryptography/steganography. The residential camp will be held Sunday, June 17th to Friday, June 22nd, 2018 at Purdue University.  


For information and application please contact Mr. Bruder by the end of the day today.
Key Club
Key Club will be hosting a Nitroball Tournament this evening at 5:00 p.m. in the West Gym.  Teams may have 6-8 player per team and the cost is $5 per player. Sign up sheet is in the Main Office and payment is made at the door.

Have you ever wanted to  discover explosive geysers, giant volcanoes, towering waterfalls, and black sand beaches? Those interested in a trip to Iceland next summer see Miss Ames (room 132) by Tuesday, April 17th.

Student Council
Student Council applications for the 2018-2019 school year are available from Mrs. Sorrill in room 226.  All applications are due by Friday, April 27, 2018. Please see Mrs. Sorrill or Mr. Ulferts if you have any questions.
Dance Team
The Taylorville High School Dance team will be having their 2018-2019 Dance team tryouts on April 18th, 19th and  20th in the THS cafeteria from 4pm-5:15pm. You must have a current physical on file to try out. Any questions call Coach Odam at 827-5605


Senior Class
There will be a senior class meeting to discuss senior week dress-up days on Wednesday, April 18th at 7:40 a.m. in conference room 146.


Attention Seniors:
All seniors received an email regarding plans after college.  Please respond to this email by the end of the day today if you want to be included in the senior section of April’s Zephyr.


Bags Tournament
There will be a Bags tournament on the tennis courts on April 21st at 5 p.m.  The cost to participate is $5 per person or $10 per team which includes a meal.  Admission to watch is $3 Sign up sheet is in the Main Office.

Attention Seniors:  There are several seniors who have not picked up their graduation announcements.  Please see the counselors in Student Services as soon as possible to receive your order.

Attention Students:  If you are interested in attending one of the military academies after high school, please check your school email for information regarding a seminar on April 24.


Attention Seniors:  The Bruce Hohenstein Memorial Scholarship application is now available in Student Services.  Applicants must live in the former Mt. Auburn school district. Deadline to apply is April 16.  Award amount is $1,000.


Attention Seniors:  Applications for the Aramark Education Scholarship are now available in Student Services or in your school email.  Applicants must major in culinary arts, nutrition/dietetics, agriculture, business or restaurant/tourism. Award amount is $1,500.  Deadline to apply is April 20.
