Mental Health Moment

Create a New Year’s Resolution if you haven’t already. This can be a lifestyle related goal, emotional, educational, financial, or health related goal. Take this beginning of 2020 and use it as motivation to become the best version of yourself.

Boys Track

There will be a meeting tomorrow after school for all boys interested in track and not involved in a winter sport. Meeting will be held in Mr. Brian Blomquist Room 143.

Trivia Night

THS Band Trivia Night will be held on Friday, January 10th in the high school cafeteria.
Doors open at 6:00pm and game begins at 7:00 pm Teams consist of 6-8 people adults and students are welcome. $10.00 person or $5.00 for spectators. They will have a live auction & raffle;
The theme is the 80’s. Prizes for best dressed team, male & female

Student Council

Student Council is hosting a blood drive on Friday, January 17th from 9:00 – 4:00 pm in the East Gym. Sign-up sheets and parental permission slips are available in the Main Office. If you are 16 years old or older and would like to donate blood, you can sign up during your lunch hour or in the main office. Remember to grab a permission slip form if you are 16 years old.

Advisory

Until final grades are calculated for 1st Semester Seniors, Sophomores and Freshman
Advisories will remain the same as 1st Semester. Once grades are calculated EDI will be determined.

Juniors

A quick reminder that Juniors will not be required to attend advisory until February 10. February 10th will begin the SAT Test Prep sessions. Juniors enjoy your early dismissal, but be
ready to prepare for your SAT’s on February 10th.

Counseling Center

SENIORS: Our 6th Annual Scholarship Awareness Day is Thursday, January 23 during lunch periods. Multiple local scholarships will be available to pick-up. If you are unable to attend, hard copies of all scholarships will be available in Student Services.

LLCC-Taylorville will be having two informational meetings about the College NOW program. Students and parents are invited to attend. The first meeting will be held this Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. The other meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 27 also at 6 p.m. Both meetings will be held at LLCC-Taylorville.
