Congratulations to the THS journalism staff on Walsworth Publishing Company's induction of the 2019 Drift into their prestigious Gallery of Excellence. Walsworth selects yearbooks for induction into the Gallery of Excellence based on the quality examples of theme, coverage, design, photography and copy those books provide. Walsworth representatives share Gallery books with other schools and at workshops as models of exceptional student journalism in action.

CACC Students

CACC students need to remain in the cafeteria until their normal time that they leave.

Attention THS Students

During lunch periods this week please collect your student ID badge and lanyards. It is important that you do so, because starting on Monday, December 2nd (when we return from Thanksgiving) students will be required to wear their IDs throughout the day. Additionally, students will need their IDs in order to purchase school lunches.

Chrome Books

Chromebooks will not be collected over Thanksgiving. If you are utilizing something non-school related you will be flagged by Goguardian. You will be immediately thrown into the penalty box and no longer able to use the device. When you return to school on Monday, please be sure your Chromebook is fully charged.

THS Rule Reminder of the Week:

Please be sure to adhere to the following dress code reminders:

· Hats, sunglasses, hoods, are not to be worn in the building.
o Once students enter the building please remove all head wear.
· Coats and jackets are not to be worn throughout the school day.
o These items should be hung up and placed in a student’s locker
· Students are to wear their ID badges throughout the entirety of the school day.

· If a student is not in compliance with the dress code they will be issued the following consequences:

o 1st instance - correct wardrobe and issued Warning
o 2nd instance - correct wardrobe and 1 detention
o 3rd instance - correct wardrobe and 2 detentions
o 4th instance - escalating consequences resulting in AER, Parental conference

Angel Tree

Tuesday, December 3rd is the last day to select an angel from the Angel Tree. Please remember after you select an angel to sign the list on the counter and take an instruction sheet. Gifts will need to be returned by Friday, December 6th. Please DO NOT WRAP your gift. Simply return the items in a trash bag with your Angel attached to the bag. Questions? Contact Mrs. Crowe in Room 153.

Madrigals

The Royal Celebration awaits! Tickets for the 37th Annual Madrigal Dinner are currently on
sale in the Main Office. Join us on Friday, December 6th at 6:00 p.m. or Saturday, December 7th at 7:00 p.m. Ticket price - $22 Adults $15 Students

Freshman

There will be a Freshman class meeting during advisory on Tuesday, December 3rd. You are not required to attend, but please fill out google form.

Counseling Department

The Illinois Coalition for Community Services is hosting a Career and Education Fair on December 4 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Christian County YMCA. Learn about job opportunities in the fields of transportation and industry, commercial electric maintenance, automotive technology, health professions, welding, cosmetology and barbering, emergency medical services, fire science and law enforcement. Open to all youth ages 16-24.
