ANNOUNCEMENTS
The first blood drive of the year will be Friday, September
26. All students must sign up in the main office. Only students who are 16 or
older may give blood. Sixteen year olds must fill out a parental
permission form and bring it on the day of the blood drive. Athletes who are IN
season may not give blood.
FCA
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet Tuesday,
September 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in Room 129. Come join us for bible study, food and
fun. Everyone is welcome.
The annual See You at the Pole prayer rally will be
Wednesday morning, September 24th at 7:30 a.m.in the THS
courtyard. Join us in praying for our
school, community and nation.
Scholastic Bowl
There will be a meeting after
school in Room 306 on Thursday, Sept. 25th for any student who would
like to be part of the THS Scholastic Bowl teams. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Tanner
or Mr. Blades.
Girls Basketball
Girls’
basketball open gyms will begin on Tuesday, September 23rd at 4:15
p.m. in the East Gym.
Girls Swimming
Any girls interested in swimming in the IHSA sectional for
Taylorville High School needs to contact Mr. Held by Tuesday September 23,
2014. Jill Weckbach will be the coach this year.
COUNSELING
ACT Prep class offered by LLCC to
be held just before October 25th ACT test date. Class will be
held at THS September 23 – October 21, 6 -8 PM. and cost is $135. Contact

Attention Students: Interested in a career in law
enforcement? Consider being a member of the Law Enforcement Explorer
Post. A police officer will be here on Thursday, September 25 during the
lunch hours in the Cafeteria to discuss the program with interested
students. An Open House is scheduled for Thursday, October 2nd
at 7:00 p.m. in the basement of City Hall.
