Girl’s Track
There will be a girl’s track meeting Friday, January 30th in Mr. Smith’s Room 228, at 3:30 p.m. for all interested individuals.

STUDENT COUNCIL
The THS Student Council has added a suggestion box in the main foyer.  Please feel free to put a suggestion in the box that will benefit the school.

Journalism Applications
Any students wanting to apply for the THS journalism program should see Mr. Steele in Room 144, either before or after school, to pick up an application. Completed applications must be returned to Mr. Steele no later than Friday, February 6, 2015. Questions concerning the journalism program should be directed to Mr. Steele.

Art Club
There will be an art club meeting today after school.

Blood Drive
The THS Student Council will be hosting a blood drive on Friday, January 30th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the East Gym.  Signup sheets are located on the counter in the Main Office.  If you are 16 years old, you must bring a signed parent consent form which is available in the Main Office.

Counseling Center
Attention Seniors:  An updated scholarship bulletin is now available in Student Services and online on the high school web page located on the counseling link under the Student Services tab.

Attention Seniors:  The Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Scholarship application is now available in Student Services.  This scholarship awards tuition and fees for two semesters to Lincoln Land Community College and tuition for two semesters to Richland Community College.  Applications are due Friday, February 13.


Attention Juniors:  Are you an enterprising student with an interest in business?  Then you may want to consider the newly developed Christian County CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) Program.  This year long accredited high school class connects students to area business leaders where students will experience the challenges and rewards of creating and running a business.  For additional information and applications, see Mrs. Sawyer or Ms. Wagoner in Student Services.  Applications are due February 15.
