Prom
Today is the
last day to order Prom T-shirts. See Mrs.
Doyen in Room 313. The cost is $15 and
must be paid at the time you place your order.
There will be a Prom Committee meeting on Wed, April 22nd
after school. If you are an Early Dismissal incentive student see Mrs Doyen by
Tuesday.
Attention Prom Court: Information sheets are due to Mrs
Vaira in room 304 by end of day today!!
Madrigal Auditions
Madrigal Auditions will be
held during the month of May for next year’s Madrigal Singers group. If
you have thought about being a part of this exciting tradition, this is your
chance! Information sheets and the required music for the audition are
available now in the main office and outside the choir room (room 159).
There will be an optional audition workshop at 3:30 on Monday, May
4. Anyone who wants to know what the audition will be like and learn the
required music should attend the workshop. Auditions will be held
Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 6. You must sign up for a specific
audition time outside the choir room.
See Mr. Chase if you have any
questions.
Attention Actors: It is time to audition for a new Madrigal
Scullery Maid and Court Jesters. Both parts are very important to the
success of the Madrigal Dinner. Information sheets and required script
readings are available now in the main office and outside the choir room (room
159). There will be an optional audition workshop at 4:00 on
Monday, April 28. Auditions will be held Thursday, April 29 and Friday,
April 30 beginning at 3:30 pm both days. See Mr. Chase if you have any
questions. These auditions don’t come around every year, so take
advantage of this opportunity if you are at all interested!
Musical DVD’S
Order your
"Crazy For You" DVD's. There is an order form in the main
office and DVD's are $10 each. Bring in your money and fill out the order
form today. Orders will be taken until April 24.

Poms
As Ren from the classic movie
“Footloose” would say: “Let’s Dance!” Signups for the 2015-16 THS
Dance team will be through Tuesday, April 21. Sign-up sheets will be in
the main offices of the THS and TJHS. If you love to dance to
contemporary music, enjoy developing your own choreography, and want to
represent Taylorville High School, then feel free to sign up and attend tryouts
on April 29, 30, and May 1. All potential dancers will need an UPDATED
PHYSICAL ON FILE in order to try-out. Grab your dancing shoes and
your best friends and we will see you at tryouts.
Student Council
Student Council applications
are available from Mr. Aymer in room 152 or Mrs. Sorrill in room 226. All
applications are due by Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 3:30 pm. If you take
an application, please be sure to read the coversheet thoroughly. If you have
any questions, please see Mr. Aymer or Mrs. Sorrill.
Student Council is asking for
donations of gently used iPods. If you have an old iPod shuffle or Nano sitting
in a drawer, please consider donating it. The iPods will be given to
clients at Gowin Parc for their new music and memory program. IPods can
be given to Lauren Barto, Jade Bergschneider or Mrs. Sorrill.
Counseling Center
Attention Seniors: The application for the Ken Deck Memorial
Fund is now available. This scholarship awards $1,000 to one male and one
female student. Applicants must have participated in sports and
extra-curricular activities. The Deadline date is April 29. See Ms.
Wagoner in Student Services.
Attention Students: Applications for summer employment at Monsanto corn research and soybean purity are now available in Student Services. Application deadline is May 22.
