Next week is National Foreign Language Week. Anyone who's interested may make a poster of any size with the theme "Find the Missing Piece. Learn a Language." for a poster contest. The winner will receive a gift card to the Charro restaurant. Posters are due to Señora Arcís in room 300 by the end of the day on Monday, March 6th. You may see an example poster with this year's theme, as well as example posters from past years in the hallway outside room 300. Any questions see Señora Arcís in room 300.
DANCE INFORMATION
THS Semi-Formal Dance will be held in the East Gym on Saturday, March 11th from 7:00 until 10:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale during the lunch hours beginning Monday, March 6th through Friday, March 10th. Advance tickets are $8 and $10 at the door. Guest Passes for the dance are available in the Main Office. The dance is for Taylorville High School Students and their guest. If you are bringing a guest that is not is not a student at THS the following rules apply:
- Guest cannot be a student at any junior high school.
- THS student is responsible for securing a guest pass form and having their guest complete all the required information.
- THS students are required to have guest pass form signed by Taylorville High School Administrator prior to the event and student must present form along with picture ID of guest to gain entrance to the dance.
COUNSELING CENTER
Attention Juniors and Seniors: The University of Illinois at Springfield is hosting an informational meeting for students interested in earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. held at Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation. If interested in attending, students must RSVP at www.uis.edu/nursing/
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Taylorville Park District is taking applications for the summer 2017 season. The following types of employment are available: Lifeguards (we will train), pool concessionaires and pool maintenance. Interested candidates must have reached the age of 16 and reside within the Taylorville Park District to be considered for employment. Applications are available at the park office, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and1 p.m. - 4 p.m. as well www.taylorvilleparkdistrict.com. Applications are also available in the Main Office at THS.
Applications must be turned into the Manners Park Office no later than 4 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017.
