If you would like to help take pictures, write articles, and layout pages for Taylorville High School's award-winning newspaper and yearbook next year, see Mr. Steele in Room 144 for a Journalism I application. Completed applications must be returned to Mr. Steele no later than Tuesday, February 25.

Spring Musical
Spring Musical crew applications are available in the THS choir room, and in the main office. Anyone interested in working crew for The Addams Family needs to fill out the application, get two teacher recommendations, and return the completed application no later than Friday, February 21.
Floral Design
THS Floral Design class will be selling carnations for Valentine’s Day! You can purchase carnations before or after school in the main foyer or during lunch for $1 each. Send pink carnations to your friends, send a red carnation to someone you love, or send a white carnation to someone you secretly admire. All carnations will be delivered on February 14th. There is a limited number available, so buy them early!
Student Council
Student Council is hosting a Sadie’s Dance on Saturday, February 15th from 7 until 10 p.m. in the East Gym. Semi-Casual dress (Sunday Dress, Button-up shirt, etc) Cost of admission is $10.
Student Council is having a Nitro Ball Tournament on Wednesday, February 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the West Gym. Teams must consist of 6 to 8 players with 2 people of the opposite gender. Cost is $5 per person. Signup sheet is in the main office. Winning team will receive a cash prize.
Counseling Center
Pick sheets are being passed out this week. Please make sure to select your classes, including at least 3 periods worth of alternates. You must sign this sheet and have your parents sign it. You will then turn it in next week. The due date to turn this sheet in is Wednesday, Feb 19 for current juniors and Thursday, Feb 20 for sophomores and freshmen. You will all have a Pre-registration Requirements information sheet in your email to help assist you with your course selection.
