Scholastic bowl travels to St. Teresa tonight for their first match. Bus leaves from front circle at 5:00. Please be here by 4:50
Coat Drive
The annual Coat Challenge is now taking place and will continue until October 25th.  Bring us your old coats that are in good shape or purchase a new coat to donate.  All sizes and genders are needed.  We have a special need for children’s coats.  Help us make the annual coat drive a success.  Coats may be dropped off in Mrs. Schafer’s room, Mr. Elvidge’s room or the box located in the Main Foyer.  Person or group who brings in the most coats wins a $50 Angelo’s gift card.
College Night
Attention Students and Staff:  Everyone is encouraged to wear your favorite college, trade school, or military t-shirt or hoodie to school on Wednesday, Oct. 7 in recognition of College Night.  Show us which college or military branch you support!
FCA
Everyone is invited to join the FCA for a pancake breakfast this Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. in Room 129.
Journalism
Congratulations!
Congratulations to the THS journalism staff on the 2015 yearbook's having been inducted into Walsworth Yearbooks' Gallery of Excellence. The Gallery of Excellence is a showcase of the best yearbooks published by Walsworth. Yearbooks are selected based on the high quality of their design, coverage, copy and photography and are used by Walsworth sales representatives to inspire other yearbook staffs.
Counseling Center
Community person is looking for a female student (junior or senior preferred) to work for her part time on Saturdays​ or afternoons after school to help with odd job around the home, such as ​cleaning,​cooking,​ raking leaves, and ​a variety of things. See Mrs. Sawyer if interested.​

Attention Students:  An updated scholarship bulletin is now available in Student Services, from classroom teachers, and online on the counseling link of the high school webpage.
Seniors:  If you did not receive a complete packet at the senior meeting, see Mrs. Sawyer right away for a packet to order cap/gown/tassel unit, announcements, and other senior items.  Remember ordering will be Wednesday, October 7 beginning at 8:20 a.m. by alphabetical order of last names.  EVERYONE MUST order a cap/gown/tassel unit.

Ordering of cap/gown/tassel unit and other senior items will be on Wednesday, October 7 beginning at 8:20 a.m. and will report by alphabetical list that will be sent out closer to the ordering date.
This year ALL senior must order a cap/gown/.tassel unit as these will not be the same as prior years.
Attentions Students:  Our annual College Fair will be held on Wednesday, October 7 in the high school cafeteria from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.  College, university, and military representatives will be here to discuss the admission process and academic opportunities.  Two financial aid sessions will be presented at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Room 166.  This free event is open to all students and parents. We encourage everyone to attend to explore your opportunities after high school.

Attention Students:  Memorial Medical Center in Springfield is sponsoring the Memorial Explorer Post 1897 program for students interested in a healthcare career.  The program consists of six sessions scheduled from October - February.  The first event starts October 8.  Additional information is available in Student Services.
