GSA

Stressed about upcoming exams? Well, desserts is "stressed" spelled backwards, so buy some holiday treats from GSA's bake sale! We'll be selling baked goods starting at 50 cents before and after school in the main foyer and during lunch in the cafeteria on December 18th and 19th (the Tuesday and Wednesday of semester exams week). All proceeds will go to Missions for Taylorville to support tornado relief efforts.
Spring Musical

Audition music for the 2019 THS Spring Musical production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA is now available! Students can pick up information and audition music in the THS main office.

Scholastic Bowl

Schedules for the Apollo conference of scholastic bowl are in Miss Ames and Mrs. Tanner's rooms. New members welcome!

Football

Any person who is interested in playing football for the 2019 Season needs to see Coach Odam as soon as possible to sign up. There will be a meeting on Tuesday, Dec 18 after school in room 141 to get set up for weightlifting, pass out tentative schedules, and discuss next season.

Key Club

Key Club will be hosting bake sales this week during lunch to raise money for the tornado victims. Anyone interested in helping can bring baked good to Mrs. Parks Room 128.

Application for Student Council

Applications to apply to serve on Student Council are available in the Main Office. Deadline to return completed application to Mrs. Crowe in room 153 is Friday, December 14th 2018.

FFA

FFA is hosting another Tornado Tuesday Event next Tuesday, December 18th after school in the cafeteria. We will have plenty of food and fun that includes pizza, cookie decorating and a movie. Come hang out with us and get in the Christmas Spirit. All students are welcome to attend.

Blacklight Dance

There will be a Blacklight Dance on December 14th following the boys’ varsity basketball game until 11 p.m. in the east gym. The cost per person is $5. The theme for the game is neon. Come to the Blacklight Dance and support Student Council. See Elizabeth Curtin if you have any questions.

Christian County YMCA

The Christian County YMCA’s Youth Advisory Committee is looking for students who are passionate about youth and building a healthy community. If you are between the ages of 14-18 and would like to work toward creating the best YMCA experience for all young people, pick up an application in the Main Office. The deadline to complete and return to Mr. Hutchison is Friday, December 21st.

Counseling Center

Blackburn College - December 13, 2018 at 1:30pm

SENIORS: The LLCC Foundation Scholarship application opened on December 1. If you plan to attend LLCC next Fall, please see your school email for a link to the application. Information is also available on the Counseling Department website under the Scholarship tab.

LLCC is hosting 2 informational meetings about the College Now program for area high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors as well as their parents or guardians. No registration is necessary. At a meeting you will learn about student qualifications, program content, costs, student planning and other helpful tips. The sessions will be held on January 10 and January 22 from 6-7 pm on Taylorville's campus.
