Student Council
Student Council will be selling popcorn during lunch on Friday.  $1.00 per bag.
SAT prep begins this Saturday at 10 am in the cafeteria with a session on evidence-based
reading. Juniors, we will begin right at 10 am so come on time to register for door prizes and
gift card giveaways. You will also need a pen or pencil. See you this Saturday at 10 am.
The Taylorville Park District has job opportunities in various areas of its operations for the
Summer 2018 season.  The following types of employment are available: Lifeguards (we will
train), pool and Don Bragg Sports Complex concessionaires, pool maintenance, pool cashiers,
day camp directors and day camp assistants.  Interested candidates must have reached the
age of 16 and reside within the Taylorville Park District to be considered for employment.  
Applications are available at the park office, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-12 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Applications must be turned into the Manners Park Office no later than 4 p.m.

Attention all Girls Club Wrestlers:  Tthe last practice of the 2017-2018 season will be
today (Feb. 22) after school.  If you have any questions, contact Coach Mateer.


Girls Soccer
Any girl interested in playing soccer this spring that hasn’t contacted Coach Andruch,
please contact him at the Jr. High (824-4924).  


Key Club
“Show some Love” to the Animal Protective League (APL) by donating wish list items
(cat food, dog food, cleaning supplies, and gently used towels or blankets), or cash for hearts.  
Hearts will be on sale before and after school each Friday during the month of February in
the main foyer.  The class with the most donations will get ice cream sandwiches provided
by Key Club @ lunch on March 9.  All proceeds benefit APL.
Counseling Center
Attention Seniors:  The scholarship application for the Morrisonville Lodge #681 is available to
seniors who have an Owaneco address or live within Locust Township.  Check your email for
the application.


Courses 2018-19 - Attention Students!  If you did not enter your courses for next year into
Skyward, you need to see your school counselor as soon as possible.  Signed course
selection sheets need to be returned as well.  
Lincoln Land Community College is offering a second College NOW Informational Night on
Monday, February 26 at 6 p.m.  Students and parents are encouraged to attend.
Students wishing to attend CACC for the 2018-19 school year must complete the online
registration form.  Please follow the link https://robertferriell.wixsite.com/registration,
click on the "CACC Registration" button in the middle of the page, and complete and
submit the form.  This must be done to ensure your seat at CACC.  Please feel free to contact
Mrs. Glenn with any questions.
Updated Scholarship Bulletin:  An updated scholarship bulletin is now available.  It was sent
to you in an email.  It is also available from classroom teachers and online on the counseling
link of the high school web page.

please register in Student Services and get a pass from a counselor.
