There will be a S.A.D.D. meeting today in the band room immediately after school.  All are welcome.
LIBRARY
Students if you would like to participate in the Read for a Lifetime or Abe Lincoln Program, please stop by the library to sign up.
BOYS AND GIRLS BOWLING
Any boy or girl interested in bowling this winter should attend a short meeting on Thursday, September 15th after school in Mr. Caniff’s Room 141.
SOFTBALL
Softball will be hitting this week after school at the softball field on Tuesday and Thursday until about 4:30 P.M.
Scholastic Bowl
An informational meeting for Scholastic Bowl will be held today after school in Mrs. Tanner's room, 306.  We will be meeting again on the 20th before school at 7:45 a.m.
Volleyball Tournament
There will be a volleyball tournament this Saturday, September 17th at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Church.
Teams consist of 6-8 players per team for student’s grades 7-12.  Cost is $5 per person.  Sign-ups take place at the tournament.
COUNSELING
Attentions Seniors:  A list of College Campus Open House Visit Days is now available in Student Services, from classroom teachers, on the counseling web page and sent via the Remind text message service.  When you are scheduling college visit days, please refer to the guidelines on page 116 in your agenda book.
Attention Students:  Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation is offering a Healthcare Education Open House on September 20, 2016 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. This open house is for students interested in pursuing a healthcare-related education.  Representatives from 14 colleges and universities will be in attendance to provide information on their programs.  No registration is necessary.  Additional information is available in Student Services.
Attention Students:  The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be administered on September 27 at 8:15 a.m. This test measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military.  There is no fee for this test.  Please register in Student Services.  Preference will be given to juniors and seniors.
Attention Juniors:  Friday, Sept. 16 is the last day to register for the PSAT.  Cost is $15.  Please register in Student Services and get a practice booklet.
Attention Juniors:  We are offering the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) to Juniors on October 19 at 8:15 a.m.  This is an optional standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.  Scores are used to determine eligibility and qualification for the National Merit Scholarship Program.  Cost of the test is $15.  You may register in Student Services.
