Homecoming
First round of homecoming ballots have been sent to each student's email.  If you did not get the email, please see Mrs. Sorrill in room 226 during advisory only. Voting will close Friday, September 1, 2017, at 3:00 PM.
Sign-up for Bonfire games in the Main Office.  You need a wristband to play.  Wristbands will be distributed at lunch on September 13th.
Guest Passes
Guest Passes for Homecoming are available in the Main Office.  Homecoming is for Taylorville High School Students and their guest.  If you are bringing a guest that is not a student at THS the following rules apply:
1.   Guest cannot be a student at any junior high school.
2.   THS student is responsible for securing a guest pass form and having their guest complete all the required information.
3.   THS student is required to have guest pass form signed by Taylorville High School Administrator prior to the event and student must present form along with picture ID of guest to gain entrance to the dance.
Peer Tutoring
Peer tutoring will begin on Tuesday, Sept 5 and meet during Advisory every Tuesday and Thursday for the remainder of the year. If you are interested in becoming a tutor you can sign up in Student Services. Tutor training will take place on Thursday, Aug 31 in room 146 at 2:30 pm.
If you are a student struggling in any class or just want to get some extra help, you too can sign up to receive help in any subject--see Mr. Bruder.  
Juniors
Attention Juniors:  We are offering the PSAT/NMSQT exam to all juniors on October 11.  This is an optional preliminary test to the required SAT test in April.  Cost of the exam is $16.  If you are interested in taking this exam, you must register in Student Services.  See your counselor for additional information.
Counseling Center

Attention Students:  Memorial Health System is hosting an event for students interested in pursuing education related to healthcare careers.  This event will feature schools, recruiters and academic advisors.  The Healthcare Education Open House is September 11 from 2-6 p.m. in the M.G. ART CLUB
2017-2018 Art Club will be having a sign up and meeting today. If you are interested in Learning more about Art and getting the Community involved in Art, please come join us for the meeting after school in Room 153 at 3:10 p.m.
SOFTBALL
There will be a softball meeting on today for all girls wanting to play softball in the spring. The meeting will be in room 146 and start at 3:10. The meeting will last about 20 minutes.
