Any seniors that would like to remove their name from prom court voting should see Mrs. Vaira  in room 304.
Student Council
Student Council will be handing out evaluations at lunch today for the student body to fill out.
Student Council applications for the 2016-2017 school years are available from Mrs.Sorrill in room 226 or Mr. Aymer in room 152.  All applications are due back by Friday, April 22, 2016, at 3:00 p.m.  
VIDEO GAME TOURNAMENT
There will be a Video Game Tournament on Tuesday, April 12th in the cafeteria at 6 p.m.  The signup sheet is in the Main Office.
Key Club
There will be a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Wednesday, April 13th in the West Gym at 6:00 p.m.  Sign-up sheets are in the Main Office.  All proceeds will be donated to the Class of 2016 Memorial.
There is a lost and found table in the main foyer.  Please check the table for items you may be missing.  Items not claimed will be donated to charity by Friday, April, 8, 2016.
Any student with a negative balance on their lunch account will only be served peanut butter and jelly as their lunch entrée.
Counseling Center
Taylorville High School is sponsoring a FAFSA Information Session on Thursday, April 14 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. This session is targeted for current 11th grade students who plan to attend a 2-year college, 4-year university, or trade school after completing high school. To be considered for federal financial aid, students must complete and submit a FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Most states, colleges, and universities use the FAFSA to award other types of institutional financial aid, including state- and college-sponsored financial aid, such as grants, educational loans, and work-study programs.  Students will be able to complete the FAFSA in October, 2016 instead of waiting until January, 2017.  The session will be presented by Lenore Smith of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
Attention Students Grades 9 thru 11:  Interested in one of the Military Service Academies? MacArthur High School is hosting an information session on Tuesday, April 19 from 6-7 pm. RSVPS to Hubert.Murray@mail.house.gov or 217.791.6224 by April 15.  Speakers from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy will be making presentations.
Attention Seniors:  Applications for the Kids Are Kids Scholarship are now available in Student Services.  Deadline date is May 1.  Award amount is $1,000.  Priority given to students who intend to pursue a degree in special education or for students currently receiving special education services.

Employment Opportunities
The Taylorville Public Library has an opening for a High School Students Aide, willing to work nights and Saturdays, for an average of 9 hours per week.  Applicant must be 16 years of age or have a work permit, and reside within city limits of Taylorville.  Applications may be picked up at the library, at 121 W. Vine Street.  Applications with resumes attached will be accepted until Friday, April 8, 2016.  The Taylorville Public Library is an equal opportunity employer.
