Congratulations to the THS journalism staff on the results of the Illinois Journalism Education Association's most recent yearbook competition. The 2018 Drift took second place for "overall excellence" in its division, as well as second place in "copy writing," and "best use of photography," third place in "coverage of the year," and honorable mentions in "sports coverage," "graphics," "layout and design," and "theme development."
Pack the Dolph
All students, Pack the Dolph! Wear white to the boys basketball game on Saturday as they host #3 ranked Teutopolis. JV tips at 3. Varsity at 4:30 p.m.
There will be no driving today with Mr. Blomquist Regular schedule will resume tomorrow.
Girls Track
There will be a meeting for all girls interested in track and field after school today in the STEM lab.
Purple Reign
Purple Reign is having a Pajama Day on Friday, January 25th to show support for Gary Jones family. The cost to participate is $2. You can pay either in the cafeteria or in the Main Foyer.
Dodge Ball Tournament
St. Mary’s Church is hosting a dodgeball tournament on Sunday, January 27th Sign-ups begin at 5:30 and games begin at 6:00 p.m. Registration forms are available in the Main Office. Contract Cara Rivecco if you have any questions.
Counseling Center
Scholarship Awareness Day is being held today during the lunch periods. Several local and regional scholarships will be represented. Stop by the tables to ask questions and/or pick-up an application.
CACC is hosting an Open House this evening from 5-7 pm. They are located at 2201 Toronto Road, Springfield.
