Seniors:  Friday, December 5 is the last day to take an approved college day visit for 1st semester and have it exempted from your attendance.  College Day Visit forms must be signed by teachers and parent then returned to your counselor 5 school days before your visit.  This means Wednesday is the last day to obtain a form from your counselor and turn in for an exempted college day visit for 1st semester.  Seniors are allowed 2 exempted college day visits for the school year and PSAE incentive students earned an additional one day.  If you have questions, see your counselor.

Congratulations to the Taylorville Tornado Football Team and Coaches on their 2nd Round Playoff victory against Highland.

Congratulations also to Lawrence Curtin who finished 120th at the State Cross Country meet on Saturday with a time of 16:11.


He joins Grant Livingston and Allison Curtin as Taylorville’s only State Cross Country runners.

Staff and Students send the Apollo Champion Taylorville Tornadoes Football Team off to face Highland in the second round of the IHSA Class 5A Football Playoffs.  Meet back behind the gym and give the team a big send off.  The bus will leave from the back of the gym @ 3:45p.m.

Congratulations go out to Lawrence Curtin for moving on to state in Cross Country! Lawrence finished 10th in the sectional last weekend to move on to state.  Lawrence will run at noon on Saturday in Peoria. Good Luck, Lawrence!

Scholastic Bowl
The van for the Varsity Scholastic Bowl Tournament will leave from the front circle drive tomorrow at 7:00 a.m.  Please be on time.

Attention seniors:  The Taylorville Community Credit Union has extended their scholarship application deadline to the end of the day today. Two students from the high school will each receive $500.  The only requirement to apply for this scholarship is a photo and the signed TCCU Parental Agreement.
Selection of the two recipients will be made based on votes by community residents and shoppers.  If interested in applying, please see Mrs. Sawyer or Ms. Wagoner in Student Services for information.
