Prom
Need a new gown for prom?  Want to get rid of last year's??
On Saturday, April 2, 2016, the Taylorville Senior Center is hosting a Prom Gown Sale at its Center at 701 West Adams from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations of gently used and clean prom gowns are being solicited and should be delivered to the Senior Center no later than March 31.
Key Club
There will be a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on April 13th in the West Gym at 6:00 p.m.  Sign-up sheets are in the Main Office.  All proceeds will be donated to the Class of 2016 Memorial.
Dance Team
Tryouts will be held today, March 31, Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2.

The following students need to report to the Main Office at the end of first period:

Counseling Center
Attention Seniors:  The application for the Stonington Lions Club Scholarship Program is now available in Student Services and online on the counseling link of the high school web page.  Applicants must live in the former Stonington School District.  Application is due July 1.  

Attention Seniors:  Applications for the Ronnie Perona Memorial Scholarship are now available in Student Services.  Applicants must have participated in a sport.  Award amount is $2,500.  Application deadline is April 18.
Attention Students Grades 9 thru 11:  Interested in one of the Military Service Academies? MacArthur High School is hosting an information session on Tuesday, April 19 from 6-7 pm. RSVP to Hubert.Murray@mail.house.gov or 217.791.6224 by April 15.  Speakers from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy will be making presentations.

Employment Opportunities

The Taylorville Public Library has an opening for a High School Students Aide, willing to work nights and Saturdays, for an average of 9 hours per week.  Applicant must be 16 years of age or have a work permit, and reside within city limits of Taylorville.  Applications may be picked up at the library, at 121 W. Vine Street.  Applications with resumes attached will be accepted until Friday, April 8, 2016.  The Taylorville Public Library is an equal opportunity employer.

Student Council
There is a car wash this Saturday at TCCU from 10-2 we need more people to sign up to work the car wash. Anyone is welcome to work it. The money we make will go towards the memorial fund. Any questions,  please contact BreAnna Adams.

The Christian County YMCA is having a summer job fair next Tuesday, March 29th, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Y.  Come prepared to complete an application, provide references and be interviewed.  You must be at least 16 years of age; specific requirements will differ for each position.  All Y employees get a FREE membership.  Information sheets with a list of positions available are available in the Main Office.

Seno Formal Wear in Springfield has offered $50 gift cards toward a tuxedo rental at their store.  This would make a basic tuxedo rental start as low as $47.50 with the gift card.  There are several available on a first-come-first-served basis.  You may pick a certificate up at the counter in the main office through March 18th, while supplies last.
