The week of February 22nd through February 26th is FFA Week!
·       Friday, February, 26th is Tractor Day – Drive your tractor to school!  Park in the parking lot on the North side of the football practice field.
Science Week
Science fair projects will be displayed in the Cafeteria during advisory today.
Musical
Applications are now available in the Main Office for anyone interested in signing up to be a part of the crew for the musical this year. Completed application can be submitted to Mr. Chase or Morgan Bangert.  All applications are due Monday, February 29th.


Baccalaureate
The voting is complete; the speaker at Baccalaureate will be Mr. Steele.  Congratulations to Mr. Steele, we know you will do a great job!
The second meeting of seniors for Baccalaureate will meet in Mr. Millburg's room 134 on Monday, February 29th and is open to any senior student.  You can attend either meeting at 7:45 a.m. or 3:15 p.m.
Volleyball Tournament
St. Mary’s Youth Group is having a volleyball tournament on Saturday, February 27th.  Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. and the tournament begins at 7 p.m.  The cost is $5 per person and $1 for spectators.  There are 6-8 players per team and players 7th grade and up can play.  All proceeds will benefit Loving Arms Crisis Pregnancy Center in Taylorville.
Dodgeball Tournament
There will be a dodgeball tournament on Monday, March 7th at 6:30 p.m. in the West Gym.  There will be 6-8 players per team with at least two of each gender.   The cost is $40 per team.
National Foreign Language Week
All students are invited to create a poster for the National Foreign Language Week poster contest.  Posters are due by the end of the school day, March 4th.  The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to Charro.  If interested stop by room 300 for more information.
Student Council
Student Council is planning to host a video game tournament.  If you have any suggestions or questions, see Ryan Held or Reese Bergschneider.

Employment Opportunity
The Taylorville Park District has Job Opening for lifeguards, front desk and concessions for Manners Park Pool, as well as, Day camp counselors and directors.  The Park District is also looking for a responsible individual to run the Don Bragg Concession Stand beginning late April till mid-November.  Interested candidates must have reached the age of 15 and reside within the Taylorville Park District to be considered for employment.  The Park District will give the training needed to be a certified lifeguard.   Those wishing to work concessions must have a food handler’s license or be willing to attain one.  Applications may be picked up at the Manners Park Office Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. or on line at www.taylorvilleparkdistrict.com.  All applications must be turned in not later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016.  The Taylorville Park District is an equal opportunity employer.
Blood Drive
Taylorville Memorial Hospital is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, March 2nd from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the hospital auditorium.   You must be 18 years of age to donate at this location.
